On the occasion of the upcoming relocation of the gallery into new spaces, the gallery office including a particular picture by Anne Oppermann (from an exhibition in 1989) was photographed, subsequently montaged onto the wall over the position of the Oppermann image, re-photographed and re-montaged over and over. At the completion, seven images were chosen from the entire output of the various phases of the installation.

The Late Baroque main altar of St. Martin’s church, Marktoberdorf, was to be reproduced with a multitude of single images in a three-storey high light shaft in the Marktoberdorf Künstlerhaus on an almost life-size tailor-made display wall. Working closely with local carpenters, the construction technique of the reverse side would simulate the church’s original stage backdrop-like framework.

A room-sized, closed, viewable cabinet situated in the centre of a stage-like room-installation, solely intended as a ‹Déjà-vu› commemoration of Raphael’s ‹Sistine Madonna› (the most-reproduced of the world’s artworks). Situated at the far end of the Old Master’s Gallery of the State Art Collection in Dresden, the work appears to the visitor descending the stairs, to be free of any spatial constraints.

For the duration of the anniversary exhibition ‹The Sistine Madonna – Raphael's iconic painting turns 500› in the Dresden State Art Collection’s Old Master’s Painting Gallery, the Sistina was removed from its usual place on the First Floor level at the end of the connecting rooms of the Painting Gallery. A Gobelin tapestry was hung in its place.

Since in February 2016 the museums east wings renovation has been completed (no longer red walls but gray ones now) the tapestry was hung again and will be on view until 2018, www.skd.museum

As part of a comprehensive renovation, the glass façade of the Oscar Niemeyer and Le Courbusier 1950’s building was completely replaced. The photos were taken during a three-month travelling scholarship from the Bavarian State Ministry for Science, Research and the Arts, 2010. By the end of the exhibition 1205 (HDT) 248 décollages of which dimension and shape can not be influenced during the act of dismounting did accrue. For this artist book the entirety of the décollages was reproduced and printed on 63 Pantone colors following a claviature of 43 + 20 colors conceived by Le Corbusier for Salubra, a swiss wallpaper manufacturer in 1931 and 1959.

For one of the yellow colored Meeting Points at Munich Re office premises, Ciné-Bal at Aubette in the City of Strasbourg was transfered.

In 1926 the interior design of the leisure centre of Aubette (right wing), was entrusted to the avant-garde artist Theo Van Doesburg together with Hans Jean Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Ciné-Bal is one of a few rooms being restored between 1985 and 2006.

The Sauerbruch Hutton architectures underlying color concept gave cause to this idea.

By the end of the exhibition ›(Mis)Understanding Photography‹ the photo installation ›Große Kniende‹, see 1405 (FOLK), had been deinstalled. A collection of five of the hereby obtained décollages was reproduced and printed on large-scale posters. Folded in a box they were published by Kunstring Folkwang together with two texts (by Peter Daners, Florian Ebner und Michael Hering). In collaboration with Atelier Bernd Kuchenbeiser.

Goodwin and Edward Durell Stone in 1939 referring to the Bauhaus Dessau International Style building by Walter Gropius (1926). The photo installation combines images of the architectural situation at MoMA and its ›original‹ in Dessau together with photographs of the ›Bauhaus Stairway‹ paintings by Oskar Schlemmer (1932) and Roy Lichtenstein (1988).

Early photographs from the empty historical foundry building serve as a site fence pattern. The photomontage was developed in the course of a long-term Art in Architecture project, accompanying the construction works of the future museum. The poster wall vanishes continuously.

The image material originally produced on the occasion of the installation at MoMA – see 1511 (MOMA) W – was translocated to Tel Aviv: the second site specific photo installation of ›Bauhaustreppe‹ using photographs of the eponymous painting of Oskar Schlemmer and of the stairway at Bauhaus Dessau itself. The two-storied installation integrated in the gallery space built in the nineteen-thirties.
What one could associate with a vast mural from 1989 where Roy Lichtenstein deals with Tel Aviv International Style architecture. Besides mirroring the museums architecture and depicting a selection of paintings from the museums collection the painting quotes parts from Schlemmer's famous painting of 1932.
›Bauhaus Stairway‹, what ›subtly acknowledges the influence of Bauhaus architecture on the construction of Tel Aviv in the 1930's, and may remind some that it was the Nazis who closed the famous school, in 1933. (The New York Times, 1989)

Countless photoluminescent pebbles are showing a global view of Earth at night. Incorporated in the asphalt the little stones are loading with energy during the day. Depending on weather conditions and the actual season they — intensively or less — glow from dusk until nightfall. From the balconies as if from outer space international students do look down at the Earth.

The concept intertwines with the architectural situation: A labyrinthine encounter of perspectives, corridors and lights from which a model was built. The thereby reenacted and intesified situation was template for the photographic images. Glimpses into the domed hall and into the adjacent underground light passages by Keith Sonnier, Angela Bulloch and Maurizio Nannucci are repeatedly projected. Space and reproduction communicate as an optical echo.

Proposal for a wall covering at the hall of members of Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste. The image of the pattern repeat belongs to the archive of Bayerische Schlösserverwaltung. It shows the former Blumensäle (hall of flowers) at Royal Palace of Munich Residence — nowadays used by the Akademie — beeing destructed by World War II. During the exhibition the entrance was barred turning the entire hall into kind of a diorama.

I was commissioned to connect three exhibition locations with one another using a leitmotif. The starting material for the ›main image‹ are heads and faces from the photographs and videos exhibited. It is used as a curtain in the DG Kunstraum and the Galerie der Künstler / BBK. For the Platforms' exhibition space, designed as a safe space, the dot matrix of the ›main image‹ is used on a curtain as a backdrop for a studio situation for broadcasting accompanying events and discussions on the Internet.
